Attention CPF Investors: New Restrictions on SGX Watch-Listed Securities from December 4, 2024

Starting December 4, 2024, CPF monies will no longer be eligible for investment in securities added to the SGX watch-list under the CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS). This update follows the Singapore Exchange’s (SGX) latest half-yearly review.

Newly Watch-Listed Company:

Key Information for CPF Members:

  • No New Purchases Allowed: CPF funds cannot be used to buy shares of companies placed on the SGX watch-list.
  • Existing Investments Unaffected: If you hold shares of watch-listed companies purchased before their placement on the list, you may choose to retain or sell them. Participation in corporate actions will remain subject to CPFIS rules and limits.

Reminder for Stockbrokers:

Please inform your clients of these changes and ensure this information is disseminated widely.

For queries, contact the CPF Investment Schemes Department at [email protected].
